(Oral) On 23.01.2024, the following order was passed :- "The prayer in the present petition under Section 482 Cr.PC is for quashing of the order dated 11.01.2024 (Annexure P-3) passed by the Judge, Special Court, Jalandhar in case No.NDPS-1113-2018 titled as "State of Punjab Vs. Paramjit Kaur and another" in FIR No.247 dated 28.11.2017 under Sections 22/61/85 of the NDPS Act registered at Police Station Kartarpur, District Jalandhar whereby the bail bonds and surety bonds of the petitioner had been cancelled and forfeited and nonbailable warrants had been issued against him. The learned counsel for the petitioner contends that the petitioner could not appear on 11.01.2024 as she had noted down a wrong date, on which date the impugned

- 2 - order came to be passed. She states that the petitioner is ready and willing to join the proceedings once again. Notice of motion for 29.02.2024.

In the meanwhile, the petitioner is directed to surrender before the Trial Court within a period of one week from today and subject to a deposit of Rs.25,000/- as costs with the Punjab and Haryana High Court Bar Association, Chandigarh, Account No.65035682434, SBI High Court Branch, IFSC:-SBIN0050306, she shall be admitted to interim bail to the satisfaction of the Trial Court.

A copy of the receipt depositing a sum of Rs.25,000/- with the aforesaid Association as well as a copy of the order granting interim bail to the petitioner be produced in the Court on the next date of hearing." Thereafter, on 08.02.2024, the following order was passed :- "CRM-4424 in CRM-M-3633-2024 & CRM-4746 in CRM-M-3424-2024 The prayer in the applications under Section 482 Cr.P.C. is for modification of order dated 23.01.2024 passed by this Court qua the cost part only as the petitioner are unable to pay/deposit Rs.25,000/- as cost due to her poor financial condition.

Heard.

No ground for modification of the aforesaid order is made out.

Dismissed.

CRM-4427 in CRM-M-3633-2024 & CRM-4749 in CRM-M-3424-2024 The prayer in the applications under Section 482 Cr.P.C. is for extension of time to

- 3 - appear/surrender before the Court below as the petitioners failed to appear within a period of one week as per the order dated 23.01.2024 passed by this Court.

Heard.

In view of the submissions made in the applications, the same are allowed and the petitioner is granted 02 weeks more time to comply with the order dated 23.01.2024.

The applications stand disposed of.

A photocopy of this order be placed on the file of connected case."

In pursuance to the aforementioned orders, the petitioners have been released on interim bail vide order dated 21.02.2024 passed by the Additional Sessions Judge, Jalandhar. The copy of of the said order is Marked as 'A'.

In view of the above, no further orders are required to be passed by this Court.

It is expected that the petitioners shall not absent themselves from the Trial without sufficient cause.

Disposed of.
