Petitioner has filed this petition under Section 438 Cr.P.C. for grant of anticipatory bail in case FIR No.150 dated 27.12.2018 under Sections 420, 465, 467, 468, 471 and 120-B IPC, registered at Police Station City-1, Mansa.

Notice of motion was issued. Learned State counsel appeared and contested the petition.

I have heard learned counsel for the petitioner as well as learned State counsel and have gone through the record. From the record, I find that present petitioner Ram Singh is the Lambardar and he impersonated Jaswant Singh co-accused as Som Nath and in this way, the property of the complainant was mortgaged and loan was VINEET GULATI 2019.02.28 14:51 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document Chandigarh

Keeping in view the facts and circumstances of the present case and in view of the fact that active role has been played by the present petitioner and he being one of the main accused, identified the impersonator and also in view of the nature and gravity of the offence, I find that petitioner is required for custodial interrogation and no ground is made out for grant of anticipatory bail to him.

Therefore, finding no merit in the present petition, the same is dismissed.
