**** JASWANT SINGH, J. (ORAL) Petitioners, namely Veerbal Singh, Neta Singh, Ranjit Singh and Sardool Singh are residents of village Kot Bhai, Tehsil Gidderbaha, District Sri Muktsar Sahib. By filing the present writ petition they are seeking a direction to the District Development & Panchayat Officer/ respondent No.4 [exercising the power of the Collector under the Punjab Village Common Land (Regulations) 1961] for deciding the Eviction Application No. 5/05.05.2011 titled as "Gram Panchayat Village Kot Bhai Vs. Babu Singh, Sarpanch of the village & Anr." (Annexure P-1) expeditiously.

CWP-2060-2020 We had requested Mr. P.S. Bajwa, learned Addl.A.G., Punjab to seek instructions regarding the time needed to conlude the proceedings. Upon instructions, he states that within next four weeks the said eviction application would be concluded and decided. In view of the aforesaid stand, learned counsel for the petitioners conceded that nothing would survive adjudication. Disposed of as having been rendered infructuous. Respondents shall be bound by their aforesaid stand.
