*** MANOJ BAJAJ, J.(ORAL) Learned State counsel on instructions apprises the Court that upon visit to the residence of petitioner No.2, the petitioners were not found residing there. Upon enquiry from Sarpanch of village namely Kuldeep Singh and neighbour namely Avtar Singh, it transpired that after the alleged marriage between the petitioners, petitioner No.2 and his family/parents etc. are not residing in the village.

At this stage, learned counsel for the petitioners contends that it is an inter-caste marriage and the petitioner No.2 and his family have serious apprehension of danger to their life and liberty. The possibility of threat to the couple cannot be ruled out. Representation on behalf of the petitioners is already given to respondent No.2. CRM-M-2569-2019 (O & M) -2Accordingly, the petition is disposed off with a direction to respondent No.2 to assess the magnitude of the alleged threat and take necessary action to provide security etc. to the petitioners etc., if it is so required. This order shall not be treated as an impediment to any proceedings in case any FIR or complaint is pending against any of the parties. This order shall not attach any validity or sanctity to the alleged marriage as claimed by the petitioners.

Petition stands disposed off.
