(Oral) By way of this petition, the petitioners seek the indulgence of this Court for issuance of a writ in the nature of certiorari quashing the letter dated 03.09.2020 (Annexure P-4) whereby respondent No.4 intends to illegally demolish the old Dam constructed on the outer skirts of two villages namely, Khurampur and Bhera Bankipur and they have further prayed for quashing the action taken by the said respondent for construction of Multi-Purpose Hall on the land comprised in Khasra No.120, which has already been earmarked for being used as the playground. Mr. S.S. Pannu, DAG, Haryana, has joined the proceedings on behalf of respondents No.1 to 3 in pursuance of the copy of this petition having been sent to respondents-State in advance. Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the Sarpanch of the Gram Panchayat of Village Khurampur has already moved a representation/complaint (Annexure P-8) to respondent No.3 for seeking the NEETU RANI 2021.01.29 15:32 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document PHHC

redressal of the grievance as put-forth by the petitioners in this petition but nothing has been done by the said respondent so far in respect thereof and the petitioners would be satisfied in case, the said addressee authority is directed to look into and decide the said representation/complaint (Annexure P-8) in a time bound manner.

Keeping in view the afore discussed limited prayer and without commenting upon the merits of the case in hand, the present writ petition is hereby disposed of with a direction to respondent No.3, i.e. Block Development and Panchayat Officer, Block Rai, District Sonepat, to look into the above-mentioned representation/complaint (Annexure P-8) and to decide the same within a period of 10 days from the date of receipt of the certified copy of this order.
