**** MANJARI NEHRU KAUL, J. (Oral) Prayer in the instant petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, is for issuance of directions to respondents No.2 and 3, to provide protection of life and liberty to the petitioner and restrain respondents No.4 to 7 not to harass and intimidate the petitioner in any manner against her wishes on living under the shelter of Maha Singh (respondent No.8) and further restraining respondents No.2 & 3 from registering any false criminal case against respondent NO.8 and his family at the instance of private respondents.

In compliance to the order dated 29th January, 2021, verification report by way of affidavit of Shamsher Singh, HPS, DSP, Meham, District Rohtak, on behalf of respondents No.1 to 3, has been filed in the registry. Same is taken on record, subject to all just exceptions. A perusal of the same reveals that the statements of the petitioner and respondents No.4 to 6 have been recorded and annexed as Anexures R-1, RJAWALA RAM 2021.03.04 15:42 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document Chandigarh

CRWP-856-2021 - 2 - 3 to R-5 along with the verification report, wherein, petitioner in her statement has stated that she would like to continue living with Sachin S/o Maha Singh (respondent No.8) R/o Meham. The private respondents in their statements have also stated that they have no objection if the petitioner lives with Sachin S/o Maha Singh.

Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that in view of the verification report submitted by the State and the statements recorded of the parties (petitioner and private respondents), which have been annexed along with the verification report, he would not want press the present petition. Dismissed as not pressed.
