The prayer embodied in the instant writ petition is for issuance of directions to the respondent(s) to grant the benefit of one additional increment to the petitioners, being new entrants to the service, in terms of the report of the Shetty Commission, which has been duly accepted by the Hon'ble Supreme Court as well as by the State Government.

On the previous date of hearing, i.e. 07.11.2025, this Court had passed the following order:- "Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that he would be satisfied that in case, a mandamus is passed upon the respondent No.2-Punjab and Haryana High Court, Chandigarh, to decide the representation, in view of clarification now given by DEVINDER YADAV 2025.11.14 09:50 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this order/judgment
CWP-2179-2020 the Finance Department, Govt. of Haryana.
Mr. Kanwal Goyal, Advocate, who has caused appearance on behalf of the respondent No.2- Punjab and Haryana High Court, Chandigarh, submits that he needs to have instructions from the quarter concerned, in this regard, and has made a request for an adjournment.
Asked for request is accepted.
List this matter on 13.11.2025, for arguments. To be shown in the urgent list.
It is made clear that on the next date of hearing, no request for an adjournment on behalf of either of the parties concerned, shall be entertained."

Today, learned counsel appearing for respondents No. 2 and 3 submits that the representations (Annexure P-9) shall be considered and decided expeditiously in view of the clarification now issued by the Finance Department, Government of Haryana.

In view of the submission (supra), the instant writ petition stands disposed of with a direction to respondents No. 2 and 3 to decide the representations (Annexure P-9) in accordance with law, preferably within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order.
