Ms. Amanat Kaur Chahal, AAG Punjab accepts notice on behalf of the official respondent(s). At the outset, she submits that the Letters Patent Appeal is not maintainable in view of judgment of the Hon'ble Supreme court in Civil Appeal No. 4288 of 2017 titled as Ram Kishan Fauji Vs. State of Haryana & ors. We find merit in this plea.

In view of above, counsel for the petitioners submits that he may be allowed to withdraw this petition with liberty to file a representation before the Senior Superintendent of Police, Amritsar.
