Surjit Kaur v. Sheero Bai & ORS
IN THE HIGH COURT OF PUNJAB AND HARYANA AT
CHANDIGARH Civil Revision No.4876 of 2017 Date of Order:27.07.2017 Surjit Kaur ..Petitioner
Versus
Sheero Bai and others ..Respondents CORAM: HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE ANIL KSHETARPAL
Present:
Mr. Kameshwar Gumber, Advocate, for the petitioner.
ANIL KSHETARPAL, J.
Defendant no.2 has filed the present revision petition against order dated 24.05.2017(Annexure P-1) as also order dated 12.07.2017 (Annexure P-4), closing the evidence of the defendants. A perusal of the order shows that case is pending for defendant evidence only from 07.04.2017. Although, the learned court has observed that six effective opportunities had been granted in a period of two months. However, in my opinion, defendant-petitioner ought to have been granted some more time.
Taking into consideration the facts available from the file, I deem it appropriate to grant one more effective opportunity. Learned trial court shall grant one more effective opportunity to the petitioner-defendant to conclude its entire evidence on a date to be fixed by the trial court within a period of one month from the next date of hearing. Revision petition stands disposed of accordingly.
