**** KIRTI SINGH , J. (Oral) Prayer in this petition is for quashing the impugned complaint bearing, COMA/1/2019 dated 02.01.2019 titled as Navjot Saini Vs. Vijay Saini and others, under Section 12, 18, 19, 20, 22, 23 of the Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act, 2005 pending before the Court of CJM, Mohali along with all other consequential proceedings arising therefrom. 2.
Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that petitioner No.1 is the father-in-law; petitioner No.2 is the tai saas; and petitioner No.3 is the son of petitioner No.2/cousin brother-in-law of respondent No.1/complainant. It is the submission that the petitioners had never resided with the respondent No.1 and her husband(respondent No.2 herein) under the same roof. In fact, petitioner No.1 had disinherited both of them vide a duly executed affidavit dated 27.07.2016 and publication dated 04.08.2016.

Pertinently, the petitioners have been facing the trial since 2019. The case is at the stage of prosecution evidence. Given that the trial is already ongoing but is progressing slowly, therefore this Court deems it appropriate to dispose of the present petition with the direction to learned trial Court to conclude the trial expeditiously within a period of six months.
