ARUN MONGA, J. (ORAL) Petition herein is under Article 226 of Constitution of India seeking,inter alia, issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus directing the respondents to promote the petitioner to the post of 'Assistant Secretary' with effect from 31.08.2018, the date,when allegedly his junior was promoted.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that petitioner caused issuance of a legal notice dated 16.12.2020 (Annexure P-10) but the same has not been adverted by the respondents till date. Hence, the instant petition.

Learned counsel for the petitioner at the threshold submits that he would be satisfied, at this stage, if a final decision is taken by the competent authority on the legal notice dated 16.12.2020 (Annexure P-10). 4.
Given the nature of order being passed, there is no necessity to seek return by any of the respondents as no further proceedings and/or pleadings are required.
