Prayer in the present petition filed under Section 528 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS), 2023 is for quashing the FIR No.70 dated 10.05.2024, under Sections 379-A and 411 IPC, registered at Police Station Sector 34 (South), Chandigarh (Annexure P-1), along with all consequential proceedings arising therefrom, on the basis of compromise deed dated 21.05.2024 (Annexure P-2) as well as the affidavit dated 21.05.2024 (Annexure P-3).

The petitioner is seeking quashing of the proceedings registered against him under Section 379-A IPC and it is a debatable question whether such a prayer of quashing, based on compromise, can be allowed or not, which may affect social involvement.

Learned counsel for the petitioner seeks permission to withdraw the instant petition.
