The writ petition was allowed by this Court vide order dated 08.11.2019 whereby orders dated 17.02.2014 and 10.06.2014 were quashed with a direction to respondent No. 1 to reconsider the matter and pass an order afresh keeping in view the punishments imposed upon similarly placed officers who were issued charge sheets along with the petitioner. Pursuant to the said order, respondent No. 1 has now imposed a punishment of 33% cut in pension of the petitioner. Learned counsel for the petitioner has argued that the punishment imposed on 61 other employees, similarly placed like the petitioner, was minor punishment.
