(Oral) By way of present petition, petitioners have alleged that the official respondents have been harassing the petitioners unnecessarily after hearing the petitioners on 23.01.2023, following order was passed:- "Prayer in the petition is for seeking direction to respondent No.3-Senior Superintendent of Police, Patiala, to protect the lives and liberty of the petitioners as they are facing danger to their lives and liberty at the hands of Police of Police Station Anaj Mandi, Patiala. Action against respondent No.4-SHO Police Station Anaj Mandi, Patiala, is also sought.

Para 2, 3 and 4 of the petition says as under: "2.

That brief facts of the case are that leading to the filing of present petition are that petitioners are closely related with each other being brother, sisters and other relatives. Till date neither any complaint is pending against the petitioners nor any FIR against them. Petitioners are law abiding citizens. Petitioner No.1 to 3 are ladies. The respondent No.4 is wrongly and illegally harassing the petitioners without any reason.

That in fact, Boby brother of the petitioner No.3 & $ was nominated as an accused in some false case under Section 302 of IPC by the police, although he was not named in the FIR. Two other persons named in the FIR JAWALA RAM 2023.04.11 18:04 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this order/judgement.

2023:PHHC:049145 CRWP-644-2023 - 2 - with whom family of the petitioners have no concerned who are in custody. Thereafter, the police started raiding the house of the petitioners.

That petitioners have no grievance against the searching/raiding of their house by the respondent No.4, but petitioners are aggrieved with the illegal action of the respondent No.4 who is torturing and threatening the petitioners, whereas petitioners have no concerned with alleged crime or the other accused."

Notice of motion for 16.02.2023.

On asking of the Court, Mr. J. S. Arora, DAG, Punjab, who is present in Court, accepts notice on behalf of respondents (State) and seeks time to file status report after verifying the allegations alleged in the petition."

After hearing counsel for both the sides and going through the reply filed by the State, this Court finds no substance in the allegations made by the petitioners in present petition. There is no material available with the petitioners also to say that how the response given by the State is not believable.

Moreover, representation dated 17.01.2023 (Annexure P-1) is already looked into by the respondents, thus, at present this Court does not find any reason to entertain the prayer made by the petitioners in present petition.
