Present writ petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, inter-alia, for issuance of a writ in the nature of certiorari quashing the action of the respondents in promoting the teachers in District Amritsar without providing any reservation to the SC/ST employees and to prepare roster register by providing reservation under various instructions/ letters issued by Punjab Government and also under The Punjab Scheduled Castes & Backward Classes (Reservation in Service) Act, 2006 & The Punjab Scheduled Castes & Backward Classes (Reservation in Service) Amendment Act, 2018, as applicable to the post(s) in question.
At the outset, learned Counsel for the petitioner submitted on instructions, that instead of pressing the present petition on merits, SANJAY 2022.02.14 12:34 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document -1-
CWP No.1705 of 2022 petitioner would be satisfied in case the representation dated 24.11.2021 (P-49) is decided expeditiously.

On the asking of the Court, Ms. Akshita Chauhan, AAG, Punjab, who is present through Video-Conference, accepts notice on behalf of the respondents and raised no objection against the innocuous prayer of the petitioner.
In view of the agreed stand taken by both sides, but without going into the merits of the controversy, this writ petition is disposed off with direction to respondent No.4-Principal Secretary, Department of Social Justice, Empowerment and Minorities, Punjab, to consider and decide the aforesaid representation dated 24.11.2021 (P-49) in accordance with law by passing a speaking order preferably within a period of 04 (four) months from today.
