The present writ petition has been filed under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus directing the respondents to release the emoluments as per pay-scale admissible to the post of Associate Professor from the date of promotion from the post of Assistant Professor (Stage-3) to Associate Professor i.e. from 03.10.2014 to 30.03.2020 along with 9% per annum interest. Learned counsel for the petitioner contends that a legal noticeAnnexure P-2 in this regard was sent on 08.12.2020 on which no action/decision has been taken till date. The learned counsel would further contend that at this stage he would limit his prayer and would be satisfied if respondent No.3 is directed to take action/decision in accordance with law on the legal notice dated 08.12.2020 (Annexure P-2). Notice of motion.

On the asking of the Court, Mr. Ajaivir Singh, Advocate has joined the session through video conferencing and accepts notice on behalf of all the respondents. An advance copy of the paper-book has already been supplied to him.
