(ORAL) Through instant petition under Section 482 Cr.P.C., prayer has been made for quashing FIR No.102 dated 23.08.2018, registered under Sections 406 and 420 IPC, Police Station Sirhind, District Farehgarh Sahib (P-1) and all subsequent proceedings arising out of the same. At the very outset, learned counsel contends that he restricts his prayer to the extent that investigation be got conducted from some senior IPS officer, because respondent No.3 is posted in the same police station, who is investigating the case. Therefore, there are no chances of any fair investigation.

In view of the above, prayer of the petitioner for quashing impugned FIR is rejected as withdrawn. However, in the interest of justice, Senior Superintendent of Police, Fatehgarh Sahib is directed to transfer the investigation to some other police station and keep his surveillance in matter or by any other officer of the rank of IPS. Disposed of accordingly.
