(Oral) Petitioners Jaswinder Kaur and Prem Singh have averred that they have married against wishes of respondents No.4 to 6 who are members of family of petitioner No.1. The petitioners have annexed copies of their Aadhar Cards indicating that the petitioners are aged 28 years and 25 years respectively.

The petitioners apprehend threat to their life and liberty at the hands of respondents No.4 to 6 and thus seek issuance of appropriate directions.

The petition is disposed of with a direction to Senior Superintendent of Police, Gurdaspur to look into the representation Annexure P-5 made by petitioners, in accordance with law, immediately upon receipt of certified copy of this order. In case any serious apprehension of threat to the life and liberty of the petitioners is found, requisite steps be taken immediately, in accordance with law, to protect life and liberty of the petitioners.
