Prayer in the present civil writ petition under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India is for issuance of a writ/direction in the nature of mandamus directing the respondents to allow the petitioner to rejoin the service as per policy guidelines dated 04.03.2020 (Annexure P-1). Learned counsel for the petitioner would contend that in this regard a representation dated 04.01.2021 (Annexure P-7) has been given to respondent No.2 - Director General, Higher Education, Shiksha Sadan, Sector-5, Panchkula. However, neither any order has been passed nor any action has been taken on the said representation. The counsel for the petitioner would further contend that he limits his prayer in the present petition and would be satisfied if a direction is issued to respondent No.2 to decide his representation dated 04.01.2021 (Annexure P-7) by passing a speaking order in a time-bound manner.

In view of the limited prayer made by learned counsel for the petitioner, the present writ petition is disposed off, without commenting upon the merits of the case, with a direction to respondent No.2 to decide the representation dated 04.01.2021 (Annexure P-7) in accordance with law as expeditiously as possible preferably within a period of one month from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order. Disposed off.
