CORAM: HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE AMAN CHAUDHARY ***** Present :

Mr. Sameer Sachdeva, Advocate for the petitioners. Mr. Satnam Preet Singh, DAG, Punjab.

***** AMAN CHAUDHARY, J. (Oral) 1.

Prayer made in the present petition is for directing the respondents to release the amount of interest on delayed release of arrears of revised pay scales to the petitioners.

2.

Learned counsel for the petitioners prays for disposal of the petition in terms of order passed in Dr. Gurpreet Kaur and others vs. State of Punjab and others, CWP-32513-2024, on 02.12.2024, Annexure P-10, as legal notices dated 18.12.2021 and 18.08.2024 (Annexures P-7 and P-8) have been served upon respondent Nos.1 to 3, which have yet not evoked any response, to which learned State counsel has no objection. 3.

In view of the above and without commenting upon the merits of the case, this petition is hereby disposed of with a direction to respondent Nos.1 to 3 to decide the legal notices dated 18.12.2021 and 18.08.2024 (Annexures P-7 and P-8), taking note of the afore-referred judgment, within a period of 08 weeks, which this Court has no reason to believe the authorities would not address in a just, fair and reasonable manner. Upon doing so, after notice and hearing offered to them and if found entitled, grant the benefit forthwith. Needless to say, if the orders are adverse to their interest, the same shall contain reasons and the petitioners shall be free to seek legal redress thereupon.
