(ORAL) Present petition has been filed by the petitioner seeking relief that the work charge service, which he has rendered from 1979 up to 31.05.1996 on which date his services were regularized, be taken into consideration as valid service for computing his pensionary benefits. As per the petitioner, work charge service, which he had rendered up to 31.05.1996, cannot be ignored to be treated as valid service for computing the pensionary benefits. The reliance is being placed upon a decision of this Court in CWP-9515-2016 titled as 'Kuljit Singh Vs. Chairman-cum-Managing Director, Punjab State Power Corporation Limited and others', decided on 16.05.2016 (Annexure P-4).

Interest of justice will be served, at this stage, in case a time bound direction is issued to respondent No.1 to decide the claim of the petitioner as raised in representation dated 13.11.2020 (Annexure P-6). Without commenting upon the merits of the case or about the entitlement of the petitioner for the relief, which has been claimed by him in the representation dated 13.11.2020 (Annexure P-6), the present writ petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.1 to decide the representation dated 13.11.2020 (Annexure P-6) within a period of three months from the receipt of a copy of this order. Present writ petition stands disposed of.
