-.- KARAMJIT SINGH , J. (Oral) Petitioners allege that both of them are major and they got married on 19.01.2023 against the wishes of respondent Nos.5 to 9 who are related to petitioner No.1. This is their first marriage. Counsel for the petitioners submits that the aforesaid private respondents have threatened to cause harm to both the petitioners and in this regard, representation (Annexure P-5) to respondent No.2 but till date no action has been taken by the concerned authority in this regard. Notice of motion.
Mr. Chaman Lal Pawar, Addl. A.G. accepts notice on behalf of the State of Punjab. He submits that the concerned authority will look into GAURAV SOROT 2023.01.25 18:09 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this order, judgment and documents.

In view of above, without going into merits of the case, this petition is hereby disposed of with direction to respondent No.2 to consider representation (Annexure P-5) and to provide appropriate protection to the petitioners if so warranted. However, any observations made in this order will not be construed as an expression of opinion on the validity of the marriage of the petitioners.
In case the petitioners have committed any offence, the law will take its own course.
