The instant petition has been filed under Section 438 Cr.P.C. for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner in case FIR No.219 dated 08.12.2018 registered under Sections 498-A, 406, 506 IPC at Police Station Dhuri, District Sangrur.

By an order dated 23.01.2019 while issuing notice of motion, this Court had granted interim bail to the petitioner and directed him to join investigation.

Learned counsel for the petitioner herein would contend that pursuant to the order dated 23.01.2019, he has joined investigation, while further submitting that the matter has been compromised between the parties and a petition under Section 13-B of the Hindu Marriage Act has already been filed.

In view of the fact that the petitioner has joined investigation and the matter has been settled amicably between the parties before the Mediation and Conciliation Centre of this Court by a settlement deed dated 24.10.2019, the instant petition is allowed and the order dated 23.01.2019 granting interim bail to the petitioner is made absolute, subject to the conditions laid down in Section 438 (2) Cr.P.C.
