**** HARKESH MANUJA, J. (ORAL) By way of present petition filed under Section 439 CrPC, prayer has been made for grant of regular bail to the petitioner in case FIR No.206 dated 28.11.2021 registered under Section 22-C, 61 and 85 of NDPS Act at P.S. STF, Phase-4, SAS Nagar, Mohali wherein the petitioner has been implicated against the alleged recovery of 6000 tablets of lomotil.

The prayer made herein has been opposed at the instance of learned State counsel while submitting that out of 12 prosecution witnesses 8 have been examined so far and the trial is at the fag end. 3.

In view of the above, learned counsel for the petitioner does not press the present petition. Considering the fact that the petitioner is already behind the bars for a period of 2 years and 2 months by now, the trial Court is requested to conclude the proceedings within a period of 4 months from today.

Disposed of in the aforesaid terms.
