Learned counsel submits that during the mediation proceedings, it transpired that the deed of cancellation ought to have been registered, whereupon the needful was done on 17.04.2025. Thereafter, an application was submitted before the Additional Deputy Commissioner, Patiala for dispensing with the payment of stamp duty, however, it is due to pendency of the present petition that it was disposed of without deciding the same. He, on instructions, submits that either an application for revival of the said proceedings or a fresh application shall be submitted, which may be directed to be decided in a time bound manner, to which learned State counsel has no objection.

In view of the above and without commenting on the merits of the case, this petition is hereby disposed of with a direction to the respondents that in case an application is filed within 4 weeks, the same be considered and decided within a further period of 3 months, which this Court has no reason to believe the authorities would not address in a just, fair and reasonable manner.
