Present petition has been filed under Section 528 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 (for short, 'BNSS'), praying for directions to respondents no.2 to 4, to refrain from causing any harassment to the petitioners by illegally detaining them in Police Station with regard to FIR No.229 dated 19.11.2024 (P-1), under Sections 406, 420 IPC and Section 13 of PTPR Act, 2014, registered at Police Station Sadar Jalandhar, District Jalandhar.

Learned State counsel, on instructions from SI Gurdial Singh, has apprised the Court that although both the petitioners were called to Police Station on 07.01.2025, regarding above FIR in which their son is an accused, but after that, police never called them. 3.
