(Oral) This petition has been filed, inter alia, seeking a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to grant State Teacher Award, 2018, to the petitioner.

Undisputed facts on record are, the petitioner was promoted as Lecturer (School Cadre) in April, 2017. The essential condition to be eligible for State Teacher Award is five years' experience as Lecturer. Since the petitioner did not have the requisite experience for the award in 2018, his candidature was rejected on that ground.

In view thereof, no exception can be taken to the decision in not considering the petitioner for the award.
