Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that petitioner, who was desirous of getting the job as 'Security Guard' for his better future, though he was driver by profession and belongs to poor strata of society, applied for obtaining arms licence, which is essential for the said purpose. In this regard, he also got conducted his three tests for eyes, bone and dope by depositing Rs.1500/-, a receipt whereof has been annexed as Annexure P-2 issued by the DH Ludhiana, Punjab dated 20.06.2024. However, in order to expedite the process, he got in touch with one agent, namely, Vicky, who took money from him for getting the said licence issued, which having been obtained, was submitted before the authorities, but was found to be forged. He othewise has no criminal antecedents. The petitioner is ready and willing to join the investigation as and when required by the investigating agency and will cooperate.

Notice of motion.

At the asking of the Court, Ms. Gagandeep Kaur, DAG, Punjab, accepts notice on behalf of respondent-State. Meanwhile, the petitioner is directed to join the investigation on or before 31.01.2026. In the event of his arrest, he shall be released on interim bail to the satisfaction of the Arresting Officer, subject to compliance of conditions MOHIT 2026.02.18 17:46 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document
