NARESH KUMAR SANGHI, J.(ORAL) Learned amicus curiae representing the appellant submits that the appellant was released from the jail after completing the entire sentence, therefore, he would not propose to argue the appeal on merits.

Learned counsel for the State has produced the affidavit of the Deputy Superintendent, District Jail, Sangrur, which is taken on record, to show that after completion of the MEENU 2016.01.07 10:19 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document chandigarh

CRA-S-33-SB-2003 -2entire sentence, i.e. actual and in default of payment of fine, the appellant was released from the jail on 16.08.2012 and, as such, he has no objection to the prayer put forth by the learned counsel for the appellant.
