Present revision petition is directed against the order passed by Additional District Judge, Hoshiarpur whereby he has granted maintenance pendente lite @ `5,000/-p.m. to the petitioner-wife. Learned counsel for the petitioner has assailed the order. According to him, maintenance granted is on the lower side as respondent is Havildar in Indian Army and is earning handsome amount. Heard.

Marriage between petitioner and respondent was solemnized on 23.11.2003 as per Sikh Rites. As the matrimony could not succeed, petitioner instituted a petition under section 13 of the Hindu Marriage Act seeking dissolution of marriage. During the pendency of the petition, instant application under section 24 of the Act was filed for grant of maintenance to petitioner and her two minor children. Petitioner took the stand that her husband was working in Indian Army and was earning `60,000/- p.m. Respondent however, averred that her wife was working in a boutique and earns `7,000/- p.m. After considering rival contentions including earnings Ajay Kumar 2016.10.04 13:06 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document

CR No. 6543 of 2016 of the petitioner and respondent, it granted maintenance pendente lite `5,000/- p.m. from the date of application alongwith `2500/- as litigation expenses. I find no infirmity with the order passed by the court below. The revision petition is, thus, without any merit and is hereby dismissed.
