The instant petition has been filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C. seeking a direction to respondents No.2 and 3 to initiate a fair and proper investigation and for registration of FIR against respondents No.4 to 8. 2.

It is contended that the petitioner has made a complaint dated 07.08.2019 to the Commissioner of Police for registration of case under Section 4 of the Muslim Women (Protection of Rights on Marriage) Act, 2019 and Sections 406, 498-A, 34 IPC against respondents No.4 to 8 but no action has been taken so far. Learned counsel for the petitioner urges that decision on the complaint submitted by the petitioner be taken expeditiously.

At this stage, on the asking of the Court, Mr. Davinder Bir Singh, DAG, Punjab, who is present in Court, accepts notice on behalf of the official respondents and submits that the official respondents will look into the matter and will take a decision on the complaint of the petitioner.
