The petitioners through instant petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India are seeking direction to respondents to refund the amount received as security for allocation of paddy under the release order scheme.

Mr. Inderpreet Singh Kang, AAG, Punjab, who on advance notice is present in Court, at the outset, submits that Government has issued instructions dated 23.01.2024 with respect to refund arising on account of non-allocation of RO paddy. Communication dated 23.01.2024 is taken on record. Registry is directed to tag the same at appropriate place. 3.
