The present petition has been filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C. praying for issuance of a direction to respondents No.1 to 4 to take legal action against respondents No.5 to 9 on the complaint of petitioners dated 18.08.2023 (Annexures P-7 and P-8).

Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that petitioner No.1 belongs to Scheduled Caste community whereas respondents No.5 to 9, who belong to Muslim community, are neighbours of petitioners. On 03.08.2023 at about 9.30PM when petitioner No.1 was returning to his house, respondents No.5 to 9 along with other relatives intentionally blocked his way with mala fide intention and when he requested them to give way, they made caste specific derogatory comments. When he opposed said comments, respondents No.5 to 8 along with their family members had given beatings to him. On hearing hue and cry of petitioner No.1, petitioner No.2 came out of her house for his rescue but respondents No.5 to 8 slapped and molested her. He gave a telephonic call from his mobile number to jurisdictional police to take an appropriate action but no one came at the house of petitioners. Thereafter, petitioners visited Civil Hospital, Phase-6, Mohali
CRM-M No.5358 of 2024 (O&M) -22024:PHHC:015417 where after giving first aid, advised them to visit Civil Hospital, Kharar where petitioner No.1 remained admitted from 03.08.2023 to 06.08.2023. The doctor issued the MLR and also sent ruqa to the Police Station Balongi. On next day, ASI Balwinder Kumar recorded statement of petitioner No.1 but till no action is taken thereon against respondents No.5 to 9. Thereafter, petitioner No.1 gave complaints dated 18.08.2023 (Annexures P-7 and P-8) as well as complaint dated 05.09.2023 (Annexure P-9) but till date no action has been taken against the aforesaid respondents.

Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that he will be satisfied in case complaints dated 18.08.2023 (Annexures P-7 and P-8) are considered by the official respondents in a time bound manner and an appropriate action is taken thereon, in accordance with law. 4.
Notice of motion to the official respondents only. 5.
Mr. Subhash Godara, Addl. A.G., Punjab, who is present in Court, accepts notice for the official respondents and submits that the complaints dated 18.08.2023 (Annexure P-7 and P-8) will be considered by the official respondents and an appropriate action will be taken thereon, in accordance with law.

Without commenting on merits of the case, I dispose of this petition with a direction to the official respondents to consider the complaints dated 18.08.2023 (Annexure P-7 and P-8) within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order and taken an appropriate action thereon, in accordance with law.
