On 27.01.2020, the following order was passed : "Learned counsel for the petitioner argues that in the present writ petition, the claim of the petitioner is covered by the judgment of this Court in CWP No.2314 of 2017 titled as Surinder Singh vs. Punjab & Sind Bank and others decided on 22.10.2019, but still the respondents have declined the claim of the petitioner by merely stating that the judgment in Surinder Singh' case (supra) was a special case and cannot be implemented in the case of other similarly situated employees.

CWP-2115-2020 -22023:PHHC:148536 argues that keeping in view the settled principle of law settled by the Division Bench of this Court in Satbir Singh Vs. State of Haryana, 2002(2) S.C.T. 354, once a question of law has been decided by a Competent Court, the same needs to be extended to all the similarly situated employees without forcing them to approach this Court claiming the same. Therefore, the order dated 26.12.2019 (Annexure P/7) rejecting the claim of the petitioner is contrary to law laid down in Surinder Singh's case (supra) as well as in Satbir Singh's case (supra).

Learned counsel for the respondents expressed his inability to controvert the applicability of judgment of this Court in Surinder Singh's case (supra) to the petitioner.
