Prayer in this petition filed under Section 482 CrPC is for issuance of direction to respondents no.1 and 2 for taking action on the complaint dated 08.09.2020 (Annexure P-1) filed by the petitioner before respondent no.2, which is stated to be pending before respondent no.3, seeking direction to conduct fair investigation. Notice of motion to official respondent no.2 only. Mr. Harsimar Singh Sitta, AAG, Punjab accepts notice on behalf of respondent no.2 and waives service. Given the nature of order this Court proposes to pass, no notice is required to be issued to other respondents. After arguing for some time, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that he would be satisfied if the Director General of Police, respondent no.2, is directed to issue appropriate directions to the officer concerned to decide the representation (Annexure P-1) in a time bound manner.

Given above, this petition is partly allowed. Director General of Police, respondent no.2 is directed to issue appropriate directions to the officer concerned to decide the representation (Annexure P-1) within six weeks from today.
