By way of present petition filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India, prayer has been made for the issuance of directions to respondent No.2 to protect life and liberty of the petitioner at the hands of respondent No.4 and his associates. 2.

At the outset, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that instead of pressing the present petition on merits, his client would be satisfied in case direction is issued to the respondents to decide the representation (Annexure P-4) moved at the instance of petitioner by passing a speaking order expeditiously.

Prayer seems to be justified.

Upon advance notice, Mr. Rajinder Singh Bhatta, DAG, Punjab appears on behalf of respondents No.1 to 3 and raises no objection to the innocuous prayer made on behalf of the petitioner. 5.
