CORAM:
HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE JASJIT SINGH BEDI
Present:
Dr. Rau P.S. Girwar, Advocate, for the petitioner. ***** JASJIT SINGH BEDI, J. (Oral) The present petition has been filed seeking quashing of the Annexure P-12 vide which the petitioner's prayer for issuance of a police clearance certificate has been declined.
The primary contention of the learned counsel for the petitioner was that as a cancellation report has been submitted in respect of an FIR got registered by her husband-respondent No.5, the investigating agency ought not to have rejected her prayer for issuing a police clearance certificate to travel abroad.
Notice of motion.
Mr. Kirat Singh Sidhu, Deputy Advocate General, Punjab, accepts notice on behalf of the State. He contends that as per the instructions from SI Harbans Singh, the cancellation report was submitted to the Illaqa Magistrate, who has referred it back for further investigation. In this view of the matter, the learned counsel for the petitioner seeks to withdraw the present petition. He is permitted to do so. Dismissed as withdrawn.
