MANJARI NEHRU KAUL , J. (ORAL) Petitioners is seeking issuance of directions to the official respondents to look into the matter and take appropriate action against private respondents.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that a representation was given on 10.11.2023 (Annexure P-4) to the Senior Superintendent of Police, District Gurdaspur, however, it had failed to yield any response. It has been submitted that the official respondents were under a legal obligation to pass an appropriate order on her complaint. Learned counsel submits that the petitioner would be satisfied if a direction is issued to respondent No.2Senior Superintendent of Police, Gurdaspur, to look into the representation dated 10.11.2023 (Annexure P-4) of the petitioner and take appropriate steps in accordance with law. 3.

In the wake of the limited prayer of the petitioner, the instant petition is disposed of and respondent No.2Senior Superintendent of Police, Gurdaspur, is directed to look into the grievance of the petitioner and take appropriate steps, if any required, under the provisions of law at the earliest. However, if respondent No.2 does not find any substance in the allegations levelled in the representation dated 10.11.2023 (Annexure P-4), then the petitioner shall be duly informed as per the parameters laid down by the Supreme Court in Lalita Kumari v. Government of Uttar Pradesh & Ors. 2013
