Prayer made in the present petition is for directing the respondents to release the medical reimbursement claim of the petitioner on account of two medical reimbursement bills amounting to Rs.11,97,956/- for the treatment having been taken from DMC Ludhiana, out of which learned counsel for the petitioner states that bill amounting to Rs.1,25,919/- has been sanctioned vide letter dated 10.01.2025, which has though not been paid. In this regard, a demand notice dated 22.11.2024, Annexure P-11, has been served upon the respondents, which has yet not evoked any response. He, on instructions, prays that a direction be given to the respondents to decide the same in a time bound manner, which learned State counsel has no objection. 2.

In view of the above and without commenting upon the merits of the case, this petition is hereby disposed of with a direction to the respondents to decide the demand notice dated 22.11.2024, Annexure P-11 within a period of 08 weeks, which this Court has no reason to believe the authorities would not address in a just, fair and reasonable manner. Upon doing so, after notice and hearing offered to her and if found entitled, grant the benefit forthwith. Needless to say, if the orders are adverse to her interest, the same shall contain reasons and the petitioner shall be free to seek legal redress thereupon.
