Affidavits have been filed by the learned counsel for respondent Nos.1 to 5-State in CWP-32613-2024 titled as 'Ram Kaur & Ors. Versus State of Punjab & Ors.'. Along with the affidavit dated 25.05.2026 of Sh. Mohan Singh, Under Secretary to Government of Punjab, Department of Revenue, Rehabilitation and Disaster Management, instructions dated 22.05.2026 have been appended wherein timelines have now been prescribed for execution of warrants of possession qua unauthorized occupation on Panchayat lands. 2.
Learned counsel for respondent Nos.1 to 5-State has assured the Court that in terms of the instructions dated 22.05.2026, all execution would AMAN JAIN 2026.05.27 09:31 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this order/judgment
CWP-1893-2022 (O&M) -2be taken to a logical end. It has also been stated in the instructions that progress in this regard will be reviewed monthly to ensure compliance. It has further been stated that in case any Tehsildar/Naib Tehsildar working as AC 1st Grade violates the said instructions, proceedings would be initiated against the said persons under Rules 5 and 8 of the Punjab Civil Services (Punishment and Appeal) Rules, 1970.

In view of the affidavits and the instructions, as referred to above, no further orders are required to be passed in the present writ petition and the same is accordingly disposed off.

This Court is sanguine that as per the affidavits and instructions, all executions would be taken to a logical end within the time frame as stated in the affidavits and the instructions.
