State of Punjab and others .... Respondents CORAM: HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE RAMENDRA JAIN
Present:
Mr. Ashish Aggarwal, Advocate for the petitioner. RAMENDRA JAIN, J. (ORAL) In the instant petition under Section 482 Cr.P.C., prayer has been made for issuance of directions to respondents No. 3, not to harass the petitioner and her family members by calling them time and again at police Station, without assigning any reasonable reason and adopting proper procedure of law.
Learned counsel for the petitioner at the very outset contends that the purpose of the instant petition would be achieved, if, respondent No.2-Senior Superintendent of Police, Gurdaspur, is directed to look into representation dated 05.01.2019 (Annexure P-2), moved by the petitioner and do the needful.
In view of the above, respondent No. 2-Senior Superintendent of Police, Gurdaspur, is directed to look into the representation Annexure P-2 of the petitioner and, if necessary, do the needful, within a period of two months from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order. It is, however, made clear that the petitioner or her family members shall not be called at police station, without serving notice under Section 160 Cr.P.C.
The instant petition stands disposed of, accordingly. January 25, 2019 (RAMENDRA JAIN) rishu JUDGE Whether speaking/reasoned Yes/No Whether Reportable Yes/No RISHU KATARIA 2019.01.28 15:29 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document
