Sukhwinder Singh, PPS, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Sub-Division Sultanpur Lodhi, District Kapurthala has been filed in Court. The same is taken on record. The present petition has been filed for quashing of FIR No.67, dated 17.09.2019, registered at Police Station Talwandi Chaudhrian, District Kapurthala, under Sections 279, 337, 338 IPC, Section 61 of the Punjab Excise Act, 1914 and Sections 185 & 188 of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1954 (P1) on the basis of compromise (P-2). Pursuant to order dated 30.01.2023, report dated 03.03.2023 has been received from Judicial Magistrate Ist Class, Sultanpur Lodhi, according to which, the statements of the parties have been recorded and the compromise is genuine and has been arrived at between them without any pressure or force.
In view of the above, the petition is allowed and FIR No.67, dated 17.09.2019, registered at Police Station Talwandi Chaudhrian, District Kapurthala, under Sections 279, 337, 338 IPC, Section 61 of the Punjab Excise Act, 1914 and Sections 185 & 188 of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1954 (P1) along with all consequential proceedings having arisen therefrom, is quashed qua the petitioners.
