(ORAL) Prayer in the instant petition under Section 482 Cr.P.C. has been made for quashing FIR No. 151 dated 07.06.2014 (Annexure P-1) registered under Sections 356 and 511 read with Section 34 IPC at Police Station Cantonment, District Amritsar City and all subsequent proceedings arising therefrom, on the basis of compromise dated 10.01.2020 (Annexure P-2) effected in between the parties. Pursuant to orders dated 28.01.2020 of this Court, the parties appeared before the Judicial Magistrate Ist Class, Amritsar, on 12.02.2020 to get their statements recorded. Learned Judicial Magistrate Ist Class, Amritsar, submitted her report vide letter No. 54 dated 13.02.2020, duly forwarded by the learned District and Sessions Judge, Amritsar, vide Endst. CRM-M-3666-2020 -2According to the report, learned Judicial Magistrate Ist Class, Amritsar, is satisfied that compromise effected between the parties is out of their free will and genuine in nature. In compliance of order dated 28.01.2020, original receipts regarding deposit of costs of `20,000/- have also been produced in Court today. The same are taken on record. Be tagged at appropriate place. Considering the report of Judicial Magistrate Ist Class, Amritsar, dated 13.02.2020 and deposit of costs as well as the fact that the compromise will bring peace and harmony between the parties, aforesaid FIR No. 151 dated 07.06.2014 (Annexure P-1) and all subsequent proceedings arising therefrom, are quashed, qua the petitioners only.

Registry is directed to verify deposit of aforesaid costs, with the concerned quarter.
