On 07.02.2023, this Court has passed the following order:- "The petitioner prays for issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus to direct the respondents to complete his service book/record and fix his pay and grant him all the service benefits including the increments, promotions etc. It is evident that a previous writ petition filed by the petitioner was allowed on 20.05.2011 while directing the respondents to complete his service book and grant the consequential benefits. He complains that still no action has been taken by the respondents.

If the service book/record of the petitioner is not completed before the next date of hearing, the Director, Department of Health and Family Welfare, Punjab, shall be present in the Court to explain the reasons for not doing as directed."

Mr. Gurpreet Singh, Additional Advocate General, Punjab, has informed the Court that the service book of the petitioner has been reconstructed and the financial benefits have already been paid to him. 3.

The learned counsel representing the petitioner submits that the petitioner will make a representation for considering his case for promotion to the post of Lab Technician (Grade-I) to the competent authority which should be decided within a specified time. The learned State counsel has no objection to the said proposal.

Keeping in view the aforesaid facts, the present writ petition is disposed of with liberty to the petitioner to file a representation to the competent authority with a request to consider his case for promotion which shall be decided within a period of one month, positively, from the date of filing of the representation.
