Instant petition has been filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C for issuance of direction to the Trial Court to conclude the trial in complaint case titled "Preeti Bhatia Vs. Gaurav Suri and another" case No.DV/143/2016 (Annexure P-1) pending in the Court of Judicial Magistrate Ist Class, Gurugram.

Counsel for the petitioners submits that complaint was instituted by the wife of petitioner No.1 under the Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act, 2005 in the year 2016 and despite a lapse of more than 05 years, the proceedings are at the initial stage and the complainant is yet to be cross-examined. He submits that a direction deserves to be issued to the Trial Court to dispose of the matter in a time bound manner.

CRM-M-5120 of 2022 {2} Request of counsel for the petitioners has been considered. The Courts having been functioning in a restricted manner for the last more than 02 years due to the outbreak of Pandemic, it is, therefore, not appropriate to direct the Trial Court to decide the matter in a specific time frame. However, the Trial Court shall make an endeavour to conclude the matter expeditiously.
