(Oral) The instant petition has been filed by petitioner-Ravneet Kaur, aged 26 years and petitioner-Harpreet Singh, aged 21 years, seeking issuance of directions to protect their lives and liberty as they apprehend threat to the same at the hands of private respondents No.4 to 7, who are relatives of petitioner No.1-Ravneet Kaur.

Mr. V.S.Mahal, APP, U.T. Chandigarh, upon whom an advance copy of the petition had already been served has stated that pursuant to receipt of an advance copy, statement of petitioner No.1-Ravneet Kaur was recorded by ASI Rajpal Singh, wherein she has stated that she has solemnized marriage with Harpreet Singh (petitioner No.2), out of her own MOHAN SINGH 2022.02.04 01:54 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

Faced with the aforestated position, learned counsel for the petitioners submits that he may be permitted to withdraw the instant petition at this stage with liberty to file afresh in case the petitioners, at a later stage, apprehend any threat to their lives and liberty. In view of the aforestated submission, the petition is dismissed as withdrawn with liberty aforesaid.
