The petitioner vide application dated 16.09.2016, sought to produce rent receipts for the period 1980 to 1995 but his application was declined by the Rent Controller with various observations including that these receipts are not necessary and material for the just and fair decision of the case.
Respondent-landlord has claimed arrears of rent w.e.f. 01.10.2011 onwards. The payment of rent during the period 1980 to 1995 is not in issue.
Learned counsel for the revision petitioner-tenant could not make out as to how these receipts are relevant for proper adjudication of the matter.

CR-7551-2016 -2case is at the stage of arguments. Without making out that the additional evidence sought to be produced, is material for just and proper adjudication of the matter in dispute, the application of the petitioner cannot be allowed to seek additional evidence, which has rightly been rejected by the Rent Controller.
This revision petition has no merits.
