Mr. J.P.S.Smagh, Advocate for the appellant Mr. Neeraj Yadav, AAG,Punjab for the respondent(State ****** $%!$#$&" Amarjit Singh alias Neelu is in appeal to challenge judgment of conviction/order of sentence dated 16.7.2003 whereby he has been sentenced to rigorous imprisonment for a period of 10 years with fine amounting to 5,000/( and in default of payment of fine, to further rigorous imprisonment for 6 months under Section 377 of Indian Penal Code,1860 (for short,''IPC'') and rigorous imprisonment for a period of 3 years with fine amounting to 1,000/( and in default of payment of fine to further rigorous imprisonment for 3 months under section 452 IPC by the Court of learned Additional Sessions Judge,(Ad hoc) Fast Track Court, Ferozepur. Learned State counsel has placed on record custody certificate, according to which, the appellant has completed the sentence awarded to him by the learned trial Court. In view of this, learned counsel for the appellant states that he does not press this appeal.
Consequently, the appeal is dismissed as not pressed. In view of the dismissal of the appeal, show cause notice issued to the appellant vide order dated 29.4.2015 is rendered ineffective and is discharged.
