(Oral) Present appeal has been preferred against the judgment of conviction and order of sentence dated 20/21.08.2008 passed by learned Judge, Special Court, Karnal in case stemming from FIR No.85 dated 06.06.2004 registered under Section 15 of NDPS Act, at Police Station Butana.

2. Learned State counsel, at the very outset, on instructions from SI Gurbachan Singh, submits that during the pendency of present appeal, appellant-Maya Ram has passed away in April, 2012 and produces the certificate issued by Gram Panchayat, Barsalu, Block Nilokheri, Karnal, which is taken on record.
