(ORAL) Limited prayer made in the present petition invoking Section 482 Cr.P.C., at this stage is that there has been inordinate delay in trial arising out of FIR No. 264 dated 19.08.2019 under Sections 3, 4, 5 of Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act, 1956, registered at Police Station Division No. 5, District Police Commissionerate, Ludhiana (Annexure P-1), at the instance of prosecution.
Notice of motion.
Mr. Tarun Aggarwal, Sr. DAG, Punjab accepts notice on behalf of the respondent State and on instructions from SI Harbans Singh, informs the Court that out of 13 prosecution witnesses, 09 are yet to be examined and the prosecution shall make every endeavour to get those witnesses examined without causing any further delay.
In view thereof, the present petition is disposed of with a request to the trial Court to conclude the trial within a period of 03 months from today.
